ELUDE MATUNGE

Have you been a desperate boy or have you ever encountered one. Life seemed not to favour Elude Matunge with the unexpected death of his mother followed soon by that of his father. Elude was born at Doldol Township in 1993. He is a son to both the late Mr. Masswy and Mrs. Jane Matunge. After the death of both his parents Elude used to miss classes and spent his time as a street boy at Doldol town during holidays. He lived in despair and frustration. To him, life had lost meaning and the stress associated with being an orphan was too much to bear. He felt uncared for and that life was very unfair to him.

Learning about him, HOME trust management agreed to enrol the boy into the programme. To avoid him joining street children at Doldol town, the management took him to Kipsing primary school at the Laikipia North-Samburu boarder. The boy's performance was previously not impressive but has with time improved. He scored 320 marks in 2008 K.C.P.E. and was admitted to Kaaga Boys High School, one of the best provincial schools in Eastern province.

Talking to the boy himself, one can see hope and joy, satisfaction and love. The boy's life has been restored and he dreams of becoming a lawyer. HOME trust lives to support him in all we can to help him realize his dream.
