TAENKEI KALESOI
Taenkei is a 13 year old girl and she is in class 7. She is a daughter to the Late Musei Kalesoi who died in 1996. Kalesoi was then only one year old. Kalesoi was left under the guardianship of her grandmother. Kalesoi has three brothers and two sisters who are all in school. The grandmother is aged and ailing and could therefore not meet the children's needs.
Kalesoi did not escape the obvious walk along the rough road of poverty. He encountered the harassment of poverty as early as he was born. Life had turned sour and frustrations, despair and hopelessness were the order of the day. Kalesoi had lost hope and his educational dreams had turned unrealistic to him.
Kalesoi was registered with our sponsorship programme in late 2006. Since his enrolment, Kalesoi has shown great commitment and improvement. His school performance has also greatly improved. He is ambitious to be a geologist after school. His hobbies are travelling and viewing nature.
