MOSES SUPUKO
Supuko was born in 1994 at Doldol town. He is the dear son to Mr. Lesile Supuko and Mrs. Njeri Supuko. His parents are very poor and have many children. They are unable to meet the children's basic needs. Supuko has one brother and three sisters and they all attend school hence the load on the parents' shoulders is very heavy.
We enrolled Supuko in the orphans programme in class two and at the age of 13. The boy was overage at the time he joined school. By then, primary education was not yet free in Kenya. Many Maasai parents leave the children to become herders instead of struggling with school financial requirements. This had been the case for Supuko. He had not been lucky enough to escape the rough road of poverty so severe that he had given up education.
Supuko and his parents were so appreciative of the sponsorship. The boy has shown great improvement since his enrolment. HOME trust management has noted with appreciation the counseling support accorded to Supuko by his parents. Supuko wants to become a lawyer as lawyers have delivered his life from illiteracy. His hobbies are listening to history and making jokes.
